I started building archtop guitars in an attempt to push my ability and knowledge of handcrafting great acoustic guitars.
As a handcrafter of guitars, the process of finely arching a top plate by hand is long and thoughtful process. It can take a couple days to dial in a fully hand carved archtop top. And then you have to do it again for the back.
The neck joint dovetail is another area that patience and craft and cunning all play a roll.
I also wanted to offer my customers another option in a fully handcrafted boutique guitar experience.
